Vacation Bible Day Camp coming this summer!

Planning is in the works for St Peter’s will to host a Vacation Bible Day Camp
from Aug. 14-18, (9 AM – 3 PM) for children going into grades 1 – 6.
Four leaders from Hastings Lake Bible Camp will plan and lead the Day Camp,
with our volunteer support. Registration is via hastingslake.com, and
cost is $50 per child for the week. The maximum registration is 45 children
from Grades 1-6.
At this time, we are still considering running our own preschool/kindergarten
morning program, (as Hastings Lake does not offer that), only
IF we can get one volunteer leader and two assistants to direct and lead it.
It would be 9 AM – 11:30 AM each day, with a maximum of 10 children – 4 and 5
year olds only – using the Walkway Room and outdoor space. Curriculum
materials would be supplied.
Further advertising will begin as soon as all details are finalized.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers, for both the Preschool group,
and the grade 1 – 6 groups. Ideally, we’d like to provide 2 volunteers to assist
each Hastings Lake leader. We will also be looking for volunteers to help
provide snack foods (muffins, cookies, fruit, veggies) for each day.
