Ideas for Conversation
- Any thoughts on Dalene’s message about reckoning with the past to start again?
- Letting Go of the Past — and how that means forgiveness to start anew …
- Can you forgive yourself and have a ‘fresh start’?
- What does ‘resurrection’ mean in today’s world or what does ‘resurrection’ mean to you today?
- Picking up a thread from Lent, we ask ourselves if we can truly skip judging (or condemning) others when forgiving or empathizing with those in new beginnings?
- Do you know someone who has ‘started over’? Or maybe you have?
- Did you feel ‘judged’, or ‘supported’? And why did that matter personally when joining or reintegrating into a community?
- How can we play a role — even a passive listening-type one — to help bring Jesus and the spirit of God to someone on a fresh start?
- Remembering to keep our egos in check and knowing when to back off: “I had to come to the conclusion that I’m not the Holy Spirit.” ~ Anon
- Shedding the guilt & feeling “worthy” makes it easier not to judge others, but rather to emphasize on challenges with new beginnings…
