Pastor Bart Eriksson was born and grew up in Camrose, Alberta. He did a degree in economics at Queen’s University, a Master of Divinity at Wilfred Laurier, a Master of Theology at the University of Toronto, and a PhD in New Testament at the University of Pretoria, in South Africa.

He is married to Darinka who worked in hospital management in Slovakia. Darinka’s brother is a Lutheran pastor there as well. Darinka and Bart have three children, two girls, and a boy.

Pastor Bart used to have hobbies (before he had small children). These included hiking, writing music, cross-country skiing, Taekwondo, and writing science fiction novels. He published one fantasy novel: Escape From Rindorn in 2015. He has also created a fantasy role-playing game which he uses as part of St. Peter’s confirmation program. He has a passion for missions and in the summers, if time permits, he volunteers as a camp pastor at one or two church summer camps.
