Cindy Tester

Cindy has been a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church since 2022 and has been serving as our Youth Director since January 2025. She feels truly blessed to walk alongside our youth, their families, volunteer leaders, youth council, and church leadership as together we grow a vibrant, faith-filled youth ministry.

Her passion for youth ministry comes from her own positive experiences growing up in the church. She is excited to create spaces where young people feel safe, valued, and supported as they explore their faith, build meaningful relationships, and experience Jesus’ love and forgiveness in their lives.

Beyond the church, Cindy is actively involved in the Cochrane community. She volunteers with the Rotary Club of Cochrane and serves on the boards of the Calgary Boys’ Choir and Canadian Parents for French – Cochrane Chapter. She is deeply committed to supporting youth initiatives, building community, and fostering peacemaking in Cochrane and the surrounding area.

Cindy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Augustana Campus – University of Alberta and brings five years of youth ministry experience in Canada and overseas, as well as over 20 years of leadership experience in Human Resources. She looks forward to continuing to walk with our youth and families on their faith journeys and invites new youth and families to experience the wonderful community at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.

In her spare time, she loves being outdoors with her family and friends on bikes and skis and enjoying music and the arts.
